Teaspoon sat back and patted his stomach. "Rachael that there was the best chocolate pie in the territory"

"Why thank you Teaspoon." Rachael said "But you know that you always compliment my pie."

"I do?" he asked, "Well then that means you’re the best pie chef in the territory."

Rachael blushed. It was just her Teaspoon and Buck now. Kid and Lou had moved across town and were expecting their first child any day now. Rachael was excited at the prospect of becoming a grandmother. "Now you save a piece of that for Louise." She chided. "Those chocolate cravings are getting worse."

"I know pretty soon that little thing will be able to eat one of these all by herself. She's lucky that sister Margaret gave you the recipe the last time you went with Louise to the orphanage."

"I couldn't have her going there by herself now could I? With that baby comin any day." Rachael stated matter of factly.

"Kid is excited he near bought out all the baby clothes at the general store." Teaspoon said smiling at Rachael.

"I bet Tompkins was happy."

"No not really Kid convinced him to lower his prices on the clothes to give him a bulk rate."

"Smart man." Rachael said putting a cup of coffee in front of Teaspoon. "He probably did that because I am keeping him in business by ordering the chocolate for the pies for Louise"

Teaspoon laughed and slapped his knee. "You're right there darlin! I have to work at the saloon at night just to make ends meet."

"Now Teaspoon I thought they were payin you in sarsaparilla."

"Well when a man offers you money for services rendered you can't just insult him and not take it." Teaspoon said throwing his hands up in the air.

"So the dealer makes tips does he?" Rachael asked slyly.

"Because I am the best darn dealer in the territory and I have the most honest game because I AM the marshal."

"So it's not a bribe." She asked eyeing him suspiciously.

"Well bribery gets you nowhere most of the time." Then a wicked grin played across his lips "Except for you. For you bribery gets you everywhere."

"Then I'll keep makin these here chocolate pies."

"That's not what I'm talkin about makin" Teaspoon said grabbing her.

" Why Mr. Spoon are you trying to seduce me?" Rachael said in mock outrage putting her hands on her hips.

"Well they did say chocolate is an aphrodisiac." He answered sweeping her off her feet and kissing her.

The next morning Rachael was sitting down at the vanity to do her hair when she noticed a small black velvet pouch lying on her hairbrush. There was a note attached.

My Darling Rachael,

Many hours at night I have spent watching you sleep. You are so calm and peaceful. Your face is so exquisite that it reminds me of a china doll. I have never met anyone like you in my travels. I think it is time to settle down here. With you.

Rachael would you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Hunter and I promise I will never take another step in life without you. Forever you will be my beloved Rachel.

I love you I always have and forever will.

Tears of joy filled Rachael’s eyes as she quickly put on the tiny silver ring with the turquoise stone it was shaped like a heart. Rachael thought it was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. She took a quick look in the mirror and brushed up a few strands of hair that had fallen down into her face. She hurried from the room.

Kid and Teaspoon were sitting in the Marshal's office drinking coffee when Rachael rushed in. She ran to Teaspoon and smothered his face with kisses. "You old coot of course I'll marry you."

Kid looked confused. "You asked Rachael to marry you? But you've been here all morning." He said.

"Sometime a proposal doesn't have to come on bended knee." Teaspoon said between kisses.

"But it doesn't hurt" Louise broke in walking into the small office.

"Lou." Kid said rushing to her side and helping her to a chair. "You shouldn't be running around you should be resting." he chided.

" Now Kid I'm just pregnant I'm not crippled." She answered feigning a pout. "What did I miss?"

"Well Teaspoon asked Rachael to marry him and she accepted."

"Well then when is the date?" Lou asked raising an eyebrow at the happy couple.

"How about tonight?" Teaspoon said looking at Rachael. "Well I don't know I don't have a dress or a minister or a cake." She said nervously.

"Well you could wear my mother's dress." Lou said.

"I can take care of the minister." Kid offered

"And one of those fine chocolate pies will do as a cake." Teaspoon concluded.

"Well then let's get married!" Rachael cried.

It was a perfect evening not a cloud in the sky as the moon shone brightly above. Kid and Buck had decorated the porch with flowers and ribbon and had hung lanterns from every beam. It was beautiful. Rachael patted her hair one last time to make sure that it was perfect. "Rachael you have to be the prettiest bride I ever did see." Jimmy said coming into the room.

"Jimmy! What are you doing here?"

"Well I was on my way back here for a visit when I ran into the reverends wife she told me you and Teaspoon were gettin hitched and here I am."

"Welcome home Jimmy!" She cried hugging him tightly. "I wouldn't have missed this for the world." "Rachael, they're ready." Lou said entering the room wearing a pretty blue dress with flowers that matched it in her hair. "Jimmy!" She gasped.

"Hello Lou!" He said sweeping her into a giant bear hug.

"Careful you'll squeeze that baby right out of her." Buck said coming in wearing a black suit.

"You clean up good." Jimmy said shaking his hand.

"You don't clean up too bad yourself"

"Well now I have 2 handsome men to walk me down the aisle Teaspoon will be so jealous." Rachael said. Just then the wedding march started.

"We better hurry!" Lou said taking Rachael by the hand.

The look of surprise on Teaspoon's face was priceless as he watched Jimmy and Buck walk Rachael down the aisle. The wedding was beautiful. Louise even sang "Oh promise me." Kid had discovered she could sing when she was rocking alone in the baby's room and convinced her it would be a good idea for her to sing at the wedding. She had reluctantly agreed doing girl things was still uncomfortable to her. But she was turning into quite the lady. Everyone cheered as they kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

When they were at the table to cut the wedding pie Teaspoon raised his hand for everyone to be quiet. "I wanted y'all to know how happy you were here to spend this night with us. And I wanted to tell you how proud I am to be standing here next to my beautiful wife. If I were to describe this pie here to you it would describe Rachael. Sweet and sultry. Delicious and temping but yet delicate and luscious. With a hard crust and a soft inside she is the love of my life."

"Well why didn't you marry my pie then" She said with a mischievous grin.

"Because no pie is as wonderful as you." A gasp of pain called attention to Kid who was holding Lou looking worried.

"I'm all right,” She said holding her middle.

"Teaspoon Rachael if you don't mind we're gonna borrow the doc here and head on home." Kid picked her up and carried her out to their wagon with the doctor firmly in tow.

"Well then there's been two blessed events for one day" Teaspoon said feeding a small piece of pie to Rachael"

She grinned at him and said. "That's not the only one either."

"You mean?" He asked curiously. "Yes you're going to be a daddy,” She said happily.

"Yahoo!" Teaspoon cried picking her up and spinning her around. "I'm gonna be a daddy!"

Everyone cheered.

"I love you Teaspoon." She said kissing him.

"I love you too Mrs. Hunter"
